Post-Merger IT Integration Leadership
During this assignment at Bayer, I acted as Integration Coordination Manager following the acquisition of a company with approximately 1,200 employees. The role focused on designing and preparing the full IT integration into Bayer’s existing organization while ensuring business continuity throughout the transition.
Integration Design & Preparation
I was responsible for aligning the acquired organization with Bayer’s IT standards, architecture, and governance models. This included planning and coordinating multiple IT integration streams to ensure a structured, low-risk transition without disruption to day-to-day operations.
Multi-Stream Coordination
The integration covered a wide range of domains, including Identity & Access Management, Network, Workplace, Service Desk, Change Management, and Security. I coordinated activities across these streams, managed interdependencies, and ensured consistent progress and alignment across internal teams and external service providers.
Governance, Risk & Stakeholder Management
Throughout the integration, I tracked progress, identified and managed risks, issues, and dependencies, and acted as a central point of coordination between technical teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders. I facilitated weekly reporting, escalation, and decision-making sessions with management, including C-level stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making during a highly complex and time-sensitive integration.
