Organizational Design & Ways of Working Transformation
One of my key assignments was an organizational design engagement for UWV within the Social Medical Affairs domain, focused on significantly reducing client waiting times. The assignment addressed structural and operational challenges impacting service delivery across multiple UWV offices in the Netherlands.
Organizational Design Principles
I supported the definition of clear organizational design principles aligned with UWV’s strategic objectives. These principles formed the foundation for rethinking how work was organised, governed, and executed across the domain, with a strong focus on effectiveness, collaboration, and scalability.
New Ways of Working
Based on these principles, I translated the target design into concrete new ways of working. This included recommendations across leadership roles, multidisciplinary collaboration models, team structures, and decision-making responsibilities, ensuring alignment between strategy, structure, and daily operations.
Target Operating Model & Adoption
I developed a guiding document describing the target organizational design, including concrete requirements, design choices, and best practices. To support adoption and alignment, I facilitated workshops and conducted interviews with stakeholders across multiple UWV locations, helping teams understand the intent of the changes and how to apply them in practice.
